Job Description

We are looking for an experienced, dependable individual to join our team for a part-time closing shift position. This role would be a great fit for someone who has spent time working in a skilled trade and would like to put that experience to use helping customers successfully complete their projects.

Whether your background is in construction, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, remodeling, maintenance, or another hands-on trade, we value the practical knowledge and problem-solving skills that come from real-world experience.

This could be an especially good opportunity for someone who is retired or semi-retired from the trades and is looking for a part-time position where their experience and knowledge will be appreciated.

What You'll Do

• Work with customers to understand their projects and help them identify the products and materials they need.
• Use your trade and hands-on experience to answer questions and provide practical guidance.
• Help customers think through projects and troubleshoot potential problems.
• Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service throughout the store.
• Assist with product stocking, organization, and general department upkeep.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and customer-ready store during the evening.
• Support closing procedures and work with the rest of the team to prepare the store for the following day.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in a skilled trade, construction, remodeling, maintenance, or another hands-on field is strongly preferred.
• Someone who enjoys sharing their knowledge and helping others solve problems.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Dependable and comfortable working independently when needed.
• Willingness to learn our products and help customers across a variety of projects.
• Ability to work scheduled weekday closing shifts.
• Saturday availability is required , with flexibility to work either an opening or closing shift.

Schedule

This is a part-time position averaging 3–4 shifts per week . The primary schedule will consist of weekday closing shifts plus a Saturday shift each week .

Saturday availability is required; however, there is flexibility for the Saturday shift to be either an opening or closing shift , depending on the employee's preference and scheduling needs.
