PARATRANSIT DRIVER (Brooklyn)

Starting Pay: $25.00/hr.

JOB DUTIES:

• Safely transport ambulatory and wheelchair passengers to and from scheduled destinations.
• Pick up and drop off passengers according to assigned schedules and routes.
• Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the vehicle as needed.
• Operate a passenger transit vehicle safely throughout New York City's five boroughs.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain accurate trip and passenger documentation.
• Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures.
• Pick up assigned vehicle from the Brooklyn garage at the start of each shift and return it at the end of the workday.
• Provide professional and courteous customer service to passengers.

REQUIREMENTS:

• CDL Class A, B, or C License with Passenger Endorsement.
• Ability to operate a 7-passenger Ford Transit Van.
• Ability to transport both ambulatory and wheelchair passengers safely.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of New York City's five boroughs and roadways preferred.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule with open availability.
• Commitment to passenger safety and professionalism.
